Reading the announcement (see below) about XviD 1.1 testing build, Koepi sent us yesterday this explanation: "It's not at all unstable. In fact, it's in all our tests until now superior to 1.0 (not really surprising, don't you think? ;) ). It's just there as a remark that those alpha builds are more or less for people who did alpha testing already in 2002 (-> experimental) and knew that some things might not work as expected..." Both binaries (testing build and stable) are available for download in Koepi's XviD Codec download page.

Koepi launched XviD 1.1 testing build few days ago. This version seems to be very unstable: "Use this build with great care! It's unstable, it can mess up your encodes badly." We still recommend you latest stable binary: Koepi's XviD Codec 1.0.2 Final

Three editions of FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder are ready for download: special for SSE and SSE2 capable CPUs and generic for all others. Also, this new version should fix Windows XP explorer crashes.
New FFDShow, new codec packs! Our friends, from Theorica have made an update to The Codecs. Version 2.5 has new install script and new FFDShow, of course.
